When children arrive at Nimble Arts they will have been assigned a group and a key worker (we operate with 1 key worker to 8-10 children for a really personalised experience) who will look after them during the day supported by our Management Team.  Drop off is 8:00 - 9:30 and standard day pick up 3:30 - 5:00 with additional 5:00 - 6:30pm available by booking our Movie Club.

We have 3 pre-school 4 year olds - Year 2 groups  (Caterpillars, Hedgehogs, Chipmunks, Puffins) of around 30 children split into key groups of 10 with a designated group leader.  Their days and activities are planned according to their age and their timetable for the day runs as follows:

8:00 - 9:30 Signing into group room - children will collect an activity book of their choice at sign in and be taken to their group to meet their team and group leader and will take part in a choice of activities while the rest of the group arrive

9:30 - 10:00 Welcome session - a chance to get to know your group and leader and find out all about how the day will work and ask any questions.

10:00 - 10:45 Workshops with Special Guest - each day we have a brand new special guest who might be anything from an Arctic Explorer, to a Medieval Queen to a giant animatronic T-Rex!

10:45 - 11:30 Break and snack time

11:30 - 12:15 Activity 1: Groups revolve around Arts and crafts Workshop/Bouncy Castle plus Active Session/Team Design Challenge

 

12;15 - 1:15 Lunch 

1:15 - 2:00 Activity 2: Groups revolve around Arts and crafts Workshop/Bouncy Castle plus Active Session/Team Design Challenge

We have 4 Year 2 - 6 groups of 25-30 children split into small groups of 10-15 with a key worker for each group (Turtles, Meerkats, Zebras, Eagles)

Children in our Zebras and Eagles groups can volunteer to be part of our Nimble Super Squad. We know older children love to take responsibility at the club and whenever they don their Super Squad vest then can be part of the team directing parents in the mornings, as well as be part of demonstrating activities to younger children and running games sessions at break times. This is entirely optional but something our older children really enjoy! All they have to do is let us know when they arrive if they'd like to be part of the Super Squad.

What does it cost and how do we book/pay?

While we have to work in bubbles, we are only offering FULL DAYS. For one child:

 

Flexible drop off 8- 9.30am and pick up 3:30 - 5.00pm open to Nursery (4+) - Year 6: £52.00 (RISING TO £54 FROM SUMMER 2021)

 

Late Pick Up between 5 - 6.30pm:  

£6.50 per child and includes fruit and popcorn at our Movie Club. This can be booked in advance or on the day before 3.00pm subject to availability.
 
For siblings:


Price per FULL day for two siblings 5% off £98.80 (Total) (RISING TO £102.06 FROM SUMMER 2021)
Price per FULL day for three siblings 10% off £140.40 (Total) (RISING TO £145.80 for SUMMER 2021)


All discounts are automatically added to your booking on the Magic Booking checkout page.

Please note only siblings can be set up on the same Magic Booking account. Parents/Carers should only set up accounts for children they have parental responsibility for. 

We accept childcare vouchers, tax free childcare, card payment and instalment plans. We are set up with all major providers - click HERE for details of our accounts. We also offer instalment plans for advance bookings - this will be available to you at checkout if you book far enough in advance.

Booking for the clubs is all done through Magic Booking. To book via Magic Booking you will need to create an account (this can take around 15-20 minutes when you first set up your account as you need to complete details including medical needs, doctor's information etc for each child).

You'll be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions and set your mail preferences. Please be sure to read the T&C's carefully for both Magic Booking and Nimble Arts Ltd as they contain very important information and are separate companies.  If you wish to receive special offers, availability updates and voucher codes, please make sure you opt in to receive marketing emails.
 

Once you've clicked Submit Registration you'll receive a registration complete message. You MUST validate your account from this email otherwise you won't be able to book.  Make sure you check your SPAM folder as emails often end up there. When you click on the link in the validation email it will activate your account and take you to the login page where you can login with your email and the password you chose. You will then need to input all the information we require as Ofsted-registered childcarers. Once your account is set up you will be able to book any available days of childcare for one or all of your children.

Sign in and out and adding Approved Collectors to your account

We take safeguarding extremely seriously at Nimble Arts and sign every child in electronically onto our register system. Please be patient if there is a queue at either sign in our out, it is of paramount importance that every child is safely signed in especially while we are operating Covid-19 protocols.

 

On arrival children will be signed in at the front gate (Dunstan's Road Entrance) and staff will take them to their Bubble Home Room - parents and carers will be asked to drop-off at the gate and not enter the building unless this is essential. Our First Aider will be available in reception to sign in medication and discuss any medical needs as will the Centre Manager.

You must add anyone who is approved to collect your child to your Magic Booking account. If they are not on the account at pick up we will not be able to send your child with them and will need to call the child's emergency contacts to confirm.  To add a collector to your account please login and click on CHILDREN and then CONTACTS - scroll down to find +Add A Collector. Once they are added, they have permission to drop off and collect your child any time until your remove them so you don't need to tell us a specific person is picking up as long as they appear on the list.

What do we need to bring?

 

Every day is a completely different adventure at Nimble Arts but the things you will need on each day are:

 

  • A packed lunch and snacks PLEASE NOTE we have a nut-free policy, and as we have a number of children with allergies, this is particularly important. We reserve the right to remove any packed lunch item containing nuts which will be returned to parents at pick up - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ALL PACKAGING VERY CAREFULLY We also ask that children don't share their lunches, because of the number of children who do have allergies). There will be two extra breaks during the day so please includes snacks and a bottle of water that can be refilled during the day 

 

  • Any medication that needs to be administered or that you would like us to have available for your child during the day (asthma pumps, epi pens, antihistamines etc) - these will need to be signed in and out and please make sure it is labelled with your child’s name.   • Waterproof coat and sensible shoes for outdoor play

  • Clothes they can move easily in, and that you don't mind getting a bit messy - whilst we have overalls available for craft projects, a bit of rogue paint or glue can sometimes escape! 

  • An extra bag labelled to take home things that your child has made 

Do you provide 1:1 Support?

We are currently seeking support from the Southwark ADD team to provide 1:1 support for anyone who needs it if they are resident in Southwark and we can arrange this in time for the club. First Aid and Medication

We have a qualified first responder/medic from First Aid Cover on site for the full day. They record any first aid incidents which will be texted to you and you will receive a call from us in the case of any serious incidents. Our First Responder will undergo Covid-19 training. Once you have booked please refer to your booking email for the 'Permission to administer medication' online form if your child requires prescription medication. Please note our First Responder can only administer prescription in-date medicines.

How will your club be Covid-secure?


We will be working closely with the team at Goodrich Primary on all aspects of our risk assessment and management of Covid-19. Our plans are based around the government guidance for out of school settings.

We are also monitoring the guidance given to schools daily and will amend any of our practices in line with schools. This may include face coverings for all children (where possible), staff and parents/carers. There will be a strict protocol on hand-washing and the use of hand sanitiser, social distancing in all communal spaces, extra cleaning staff for areas and equipment, and zoning of areas of the school to avoid bubbles coming into contact with each other.  We will be operating our own Track and Trace system.

In the event of a case of Covid-19 being identified, all parents/carers of affected bubbles will be notified and will need to isolate in line with government guidelines. Please see later section on Cancellation and Refunds policy for more information on how this would affect your booking.

Our risk assessment for children, staff, parents and carers is designed around the following areas:

1. Minimise contact with individuals who are unwell.

2. Clean your hands often.

3. Maintain respiratory hygiene (catch it, bin it, kill it).

4. Clean surfaces that are touched frequently.

5. Minimise contact and mixing.

6. Personal protective equipment (PPE).

7. Engage with NHS Track and Trace.

8. Manage confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) amongst the setting community.

9. Contain any outbreak by following local health protection team advice.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellation Policy - Non-Covid-19  cancellation 

 

If you request to cancel your booking for a non-Covid-19-related reason:

 

  • Parents requesting cancellation 7 or more days before the first day of the booking will be given the option of full refund or credit note for the full value of the cancelled days - as a very small company hit very hard by COVID-19 we welcome and appreciate the choice of a credit note from parents wherever they feel this is possible

 

  • Parents requesting cancellation on the day of the booking 1- 6 days in advance will receive a credit note for the value of the booking

 

  • Non-attendance on the day where parents do not contact us to let us know any mitigation circumstances (which we will always review on a case by case basis in terms of credit notes/refunds) will not receive a refund or credit note 

 

Cancellation Policy - Covid-19 cancellation

If you have to cancel your space due to a Covid-19 related incident outside of your control we will offer you the choice of a full refund or credit for a future club. Please contact us as soon as possible in this case and we will discuss all options with you. 

As of December 2021:

 

Individuals are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19 who is not a suspected or confirmed case of the Omicron variant, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19 who is not a suspected or confirmed case of the Omicron variant, and any of the following apply:

  • they are fully vaccinated

  • they are below the age of 18 years and 6 months

  • they have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial

  • they are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

Instead, they will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace, informed they have been in close contact with a positive case and advised to take a PCR test.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MY CHILD IS RETURNING FROM ABROAD JUST BEFORE THE CLUB?

 

  • you are subject to the rules laid out by the government at the time of travel regarding self-isolation and testing when returning from the holiday country 

  • If you have booked childcare with us at a time you may have to isolate on your return then please contact us and cancel this as soon as possible as we will not be able to accept your child and we will not be able to refund your place as you have booked childcare at a time when your child has to isolate 

  • If there is no requirement to isolate on your return and you have followed all guidelines then your child may attend as soon as you return

  • If you, a member of your household all your child develops symptoms or has a positive Covid test you must isolate and follow the guidelines set out in points 1 and 2 

  • PLEASE DO NOT BOOK CHILDCARE WITH US UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT YOU ARE NOT BOOKING IT WITHIN A POST-HOLIDAY ISOLATION PERIOD 

Pictures and Video

Due to the number of parents who understandably do not give their consent for pictures and video, it is our policy only to take pictures of children's work which we post on our social media during the day. We do not take pictures and videos of the children or use any pictures and videos publicly with children's faces shown. 

Our main objective is for every child to feel safe, happy and inspired. If you would like to discuss anything with us before or during the club, please get in touch – no question too small especially in these unprecedented times.
