Where do your Creative Holiday Clubs run and what times are you open?

We currently run one club at Goodrich Primary, East Dulwich, London SE22 0EP and sign in and sign out is at the Dunstan's Road Entrance.

.

Children attending for a full day can be dropped off any time between 8.00 - 9.30am and collected any time between 4.15 - 5.00pm (£52 per 8.00am - 5.00pm with 5% off for 2 siblings and 10% off for 3 siblings)

We usually offer a free breakfast, however, we have decided not to offer a breakfast service for our October 2020 Half-term club in line with Covid-19 protocol. We ask that children are dropped off having already eaten breakfast. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but it is part of ensuring minimum risk of infection for staff and children.

We usually offer half-day sessions to pre-school and KS1 children - however we are unable to offer this for October 2020 as we need to keep children in the same bubble of 15 for the full day. We are very happy for you to drop-off and pick up a little later or earlier if needed. but we can only offer full day booking.

Children must be collected by 5.00pm if not booked in for Late Club or 6.30pm if booked for Late Club or fees will be incurred.

Late Pick Up Club open till 6.30pm can be booked as an additional option (£6.50 per child)

Please let us know by calling or texting if you are running late. We have to be off the premises just after 6.30pm and lateness requires us to pay staff and extra rental. We charge late fees of £15 per 15 minutes per child after an initial fee of £15.

What do we need to bring?

Every day is a completely different adventure at Nimble Arts but the things you will need on each day are:

  • A packed lunch and snacks PLEASE NOTE we have a nut-free policy, and as we have a number of children with allergies, this is particularly important. We reserve the right to remove any packed lunch item containing nuts which will be returned to parents at pick up - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ALL PACKAGING VERY CAREFULLY We also ask that children don't share their lunches, because of the number of children who do have allergies). There will be two extra breaks during the day so please includes snacks and a bottle of water that can be refilled during the day

  • Any medication that needs to be administered or that you would like us to have available for your child during the day (asthma pumps, epi pens, antihistamines etc) - these will need to be signed in and out and please make sure it is labelled with your child’s name. To save time please complete this online form before the club so we will have all the information we need and permission to administer: https://nimblearts.wufoo.com/forms/nimble-arts-permission-to-administer-medication/

  • Waterproof coat and sensible shoes for outdoor play

  • Clothes they can move easily in, and that you don't mind getting a bit messy - whilst we have overalls available for craft projects, a bit of rogue paint or glue can sometimes escape!

  • An extra bag labelled to take home things that your child has made

What age groups do you accept?

Children from their 4th birthday up to the last day of their 11th year can attend for a full day.  We do not currently accept 3 year old's.

How are the days organised?

Usually, our days are built around 3 visiting workshops  that explore a new theme each day which children attend in their age-groups and one session in 'The Funhouse' (one of our jam-packed activity halls with giant bouncy castle).  But due to Covid-19 we need to do things differently! We've thought long and hard about how to give children the fun-filled and happy day they deserve after months of stress within a Covid-secure environment for both children and staff. We have risk assessed all activities and have decided not to have our halls set up for choosing activities and not to have our bouncy castles out for October 2020. Instead, we've cooked up daily adventurers in The Nimblino Universe - a world of time travel, crazy characters, missions to far off lands and battles to save the universe.- that children can complete from their Bubble Home Rooms. Lots of our families got to know the Nimblino Universe via our virtual clubs and we wanted to extend the fun to our drop-off families. So this is how it will work...

On each day we will have up to 10 independent bubbles of 15 children (maximum) with their own classroom home space and Group Leaders:

CATERPILLARS - Pre-school 4 year olds
HEDGEHOGS - School-age 4-5 year olds
CHIPMUNKS - 5-6 year olds
PUFFINS 5-6 year olds
SQUIRRELS -Year 2
DOLPHINS - Year 3
TURTLES - Year 4
MEERKATS Year 4-5
ZEBRAS - Year 5
EAGLES - Year 5-6

Ages/year groups are approximate and will be organised based on demand. You can book anything from 1-5 days flexibly, but children will remain in their bubble for all the days they attend. We will not be able to change bubbles on the day and will be in touch before the club to ask about requests to be in the same group as friends/siblings if they are close in age. We want children to have a brilliant time with us so we will be as accommodating as we can, but have to be strict with bubbles once they have been arranged. The staff for each bubble will be the same each day wherever possible. Rest assured, your child will be warmly welcomed and made to feel part of the team from their first steps through the door. Many children attend on their own and our staff are very experienced at helping children settle in and make friends.

8.00am - 9.30am Drop-off On arrival children will be shown to their Bubble Home Room where they'll be met by staff and shown where to store their lunch and coat. Classrooms will be set up with a range of sit-down activities for them to choose from. We will be running a drop-off system that ensures safety for staff, parents, carers and children.

9.30am - 10.00am Mission Launch once all children have arrived in their Bubble Home Rooms the day's mission will be launched via video showing children what is needed to save the universe that day. This will include a range of mental., creative and physical challenges.

10.00am - 4.00pm Workshops Throughout the day, children will complete 4 sessions including live video workshops with our amazing workshop leaders, invention challenges, design challenges, skill challenges and drills with the amazing Les Mills Born to Move team (sneak peak here) Workshops will take place in their Bubble Home Room and drill sessions in socially-distanced hall spaces. Sessions will be fast-paced with lots of variety so, although we can't have the visitors we normally have actually in the room, the day will be driven by the narrative of the mission. There will be lots of outdoor break-time in between sessions.

4.00pm - 4.15pm Mission Accomplished Children will have the chance to show their work and catch up with the Nimblino Universe characters to see the outcome of their missions.

4.15pm - 5.00pm Collection We will be operating a socially distanced Covid-secure collection process

5.00pm - 6.30pm Late Pick Up Club All children booked into our Late Pick Up Club will be taken to our Cinema rooms for an end-of-the-day film, (popcorn and fruit provided) and parents/carers will be directed where they can be collected any time up till 6.30pm

Do you provide 1:1 Support?

Before the pandemic, we were able to offer up to 2 days 1:1 support for children with additional needs to attend the holiday club. We do not receive funding for this, it was something we funded ourselves. It is with huge regret we have to announce we will not be able to fund any 1:1's for October Half-term 2020 as the funds we had set aside for this support have all had to be used to keep the business running while we were closed. We hope to resume this service as soon as we have recovered financially from closure. If you would like to discuss your child's additional needs please drop us an email and we will do everything we can to support info@nimblearts.co.uk

5 stars - the boys (6 and 4) did 2 days over half term and absolutely LOVED it. The sessions are so engaging, fun and educational and the teachers/assistants enthusiastic, warm and fun. I can’t recommend this holiday club more highly. Thank you for a fun time! - Parent, 2019

Sign in and out and adding Approved Collectors to your account

We take safeguarding extremely seriously at Nimble Arts and sign every child in electronically onto our register system. Please be patient if there is a queue at either sign in our out, it is of paramount importance that every child is safely signed in especially while we are operating Covid-19 protocols.

On arrival children will be signed in at the front gate (Dunstan's Road Entrance) and staff will take them to their Bubble Home Room - parents and carers will be asked to drop-off at the gate and not enter the building unless this is essential. Our First Aider will be available in reception to sign in medication and discuss any medical needs as will the Centre Manager.

You must add anyone who is approved to collect your child to your Magic Booking account. Once they are added, they have permission to drop off and collect your child any time until your remove them so you don't need to tell us a specific person is picking up as long as they appear on the list.

We require at least 7 to 13 full days notice of cancellation before the day your child is due to attend to issue a 50% credit note.

If you cancel your sessions without giving us at least 7 full days notice before the day your child is due to attend, you will not receive any credit (This policy is subject to the Manager's discretion in mitigating circumstances)

COVID-19 CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: (followed for any Covid-19 related cancellations)

There is currently no insurance available that covers registered childcare settings against loss of income due to Cororna-virus-related closure or the need to send home individual children or whole bubbles of children whether due to their own suspected infection, or coming into contact with a suspected case of the virus. We therefore have to ask parents to sign up to the cancellation policy below which overrides the policy above should the following conditions come into play. We in no way wish to cause parents distress, financial hardship or be paid for services we cannot offer. However, as a very small company who has been severely financially affected by Covid-19 closure, we are not in the position to take the financial risk of closure and full refund. In the events of closure or having to send children/staff/bubbles home we still have to pay all club-related costs, PPE costs, resources, staff costs and rental to the school. Therefore, we want to make parents aware of the following and ask them to agree to all clauses:

In the event that you have paid for your place at one of our clubs but your child develops symptoms and has to isolate (or is in isolation period on the day they should be attending:

- we cannot refund the money paid for the booking unless we can offer the space to a child on the waiting list

- where possible, we will look to allocate paid-for bookings as credit towards a future club - however we cannot guarantee this will be possible due to potential numbers of cases, and will review on a case by case basis

In the event that you have paid for your place at one of our clubs, and we inform you of a case of suspected Corona-virus where a child or staff member is suspected of having the virus, or has come into contact with a suspected case, and has been bubbled or worked closely with your child, where we ask that your child be collected and not attend until the suspected case is either confirmed or cleared of infection:

- we cannot refund the money paid for the booking unless we can offer the space to a child on the waiting list

- where possible, we will look to allocate paid-for bookings as credit towards a future club - however we cannot guarantee this will be possible due to potential numbers of cases, and will review on a case by case basis

In the event that we have to close the club due to not enough staff being available due to isolation, multiple suspected cases of the virus across multiple bubbles, or in the event that government guidelines and regulations for out of school provision changes at short notice:

- we will not be able to offer refunds for places already paid for

- we will credit at least 50% of the remaining booking cost that children cannot attend for to parent accounts for use at a future club

It is with a heavy heart that we have to impose such strict financial conditions, but we want our policy and reasoning to be completely transparent.

**PLEASE NOTE PARENTS WILL BE ASKED TO AGREE TO OUR ADDITIONAL COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY ON BOOKING**

If you need to cancel on the day please call 0333 014 2576 or text 07714 745 040.

What will happen is there is a confirmed case of Covid-19?

If a case of Covid-19 us suspected or confirmed, and your child has come into contact with the suspected infected person, then we will inform you as soon as possible as you and your child will need to go into quarantine according to current guidelines.

Pictures, videos and Class Dojo:

The privacy and online safety of children is very important to us. We do not take pictures of children that are identifiable (include their faces) and we do not publish identifiable pictures of children on social media. Some of our creative workshops involved filmed content e.g. movie trailer making. We will share the results of these projects with parents from the group involved via a private link. If you do not want your child to be involved in any filmed project work please let us know at drop-off and we will give them a red wrist band. Again, no video footage will be shared on social media and we ask you do not share any private footage from the activities shared with parents.

From October 2020 we will be using Class Dojo to track your child's individual progress through the day - we will set up an account for them and then send you an invitation so you will be able to see pictures of their work (only available to you for your child) and points they pick up during the day for great behaviour, ideas and work. **THERE IS AN OPTION IN THE PRE-BOOKING AGREEMENT TO OPT IN AND OUT OF OPTIONS RELATED TO CLASS DOJO**

Our main objective is for every child to feel safe, happy and inspired. If you would like to discuss anything with us before or during the club, please get in touch – no question too small especially in these unprecedented times.

See our policies page for more information about safeguarding and our cancellation policy, and our childcare voucher and tax free childcare voucher page for our Ofsted information and account details with each provider.

How will your club be Covid-secure?

We will be working closely with the team at Goodrich Primary on all aspects of our risk assessment and management of Covid-19. Our plans are based around the government guidance for out of school settings:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/protective-measures-for-holiday-or-after-school-clubs-and-other-out-of-school-settings-for-children-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/protective-measures-for-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak

We are also monitoring the guidance given to schools daily and will amend any of our practices in line with schools. This may include face coverings for all children (where possible), staff and parents/carers. There will be a strict protocol on hand-washing and the use of hand sanitiser, social distancing in all communal spaces, extra cleaning staff for areas and equipment, and zoning of areas of the school to avoid bubbles coming into contact with each other.  We will be operating our own Track and Trace system.

In the event of a case of Covid-19 being identified, all parents/carers of affected bubbles will be notified and will need to isolate in line with government guidelines. Please see later section on Cancellation and Refunds policy for more information on how this would affect your booking.

Our risk assessment for children, staff, parents and carers is designed around the following areas:

1. Minimise contact with individuals who are unwell.

2. Clean your hands often.

3. Maintain respiratory hygiene (catch it, bin it, kill it).

4. Clean surfaces that are touched frequently.

5. Minimise contact and mixing.

6. Personal protective equipment (PPE).

7. Engage with NHS Track and Trace.

8. Manage confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) amongst the setting community.

9. Contain any outbreak by following local health protection team advice.
