Watch the short introductory video to the day

Then you have the rest of the session to explain all the things on your Trello briefing list (above the register), welcome children, play some get to know you games and any other games or activties you know to make them feel happy and settled on the team

For grown-ups: SKILL 1

Watch the introduction video first - it will show children what they are making and what materials they need which will be in your Skill 1 box in the room

You need to give out everything and children can arrange everything they need on their table

If you need to watch the video again before you start making you can
For this activity children are making their own story book. The need:
- a notebook
- scissors, glue and felt tips
- coloured paper and decorations
- cut out character pictures
They can draw or write anything they like and design their front cover. If there is time at the end they can tell the group about their stories.
When the activity is finished please make sure children have put their name on their work and have put it in their take home box/bag


For grown-ups:

Take children into the hall with their water bottles and ask them to find a space where they can see the screen.

Tell children they are going to be doing some training to become super strong for their adventure

When everyone is ready navigate to this page on the computer linked to the screen - there is a shortcut on the desktop

This workshop is about a Midsummer Night's Dream - you will need to click on the picture and enter username and password Nimble789!!

You can help guide children through the activities depending on their understanding in their age group - feel free to pause the video is you need to

When an activity is suggested by the leaders help children to do the challenge - they can move round the room carefully but remind them about staying distant from each other and not touching anyone else

When told to sit in a circle the children can stand in a circle
If you have time at the end of the workshop children can draw a picture of their fairy that lives in the forest.

For this activity children are making their own story character puppet using a blank glove puppet and a fairy tale mask
The need:
- a blank puppet
- scissors, glue and felt tips
- googley eyes
- sticky foam
- decorations
- a blank fairy tale mask
If there is time at the end they can tell the group about the character they made up for their puppet. When the activity is finished please make sure children have put their name on their work and have put it in their take home box/bag


For grown-ups:

Take children into the hall with their water bottles and ask them to find a space where they can see the screen.

Tell children they are going to be doing some yoga training

When everyone is ready just press play on the video


For grown-ups:

Ecourage children to show what they've made and tell you all about it and what they've enjoyed during the day

You can also remind them what they've done

Make sure everything is in their brown bags ready to take home

Then watch the final video at the end of the session
For grown-ups:

Once the room is tidy and children have everything they need to go home, they can settle into their chair (or under their table!) ready for story-time

If the weather is good get children to collect all their things for taking home and put their coat on

Lead them out to the playground and ask them to put their bag and take home things round the edge of the playground. When their name is called that means their parent is waiting for them at the gate and they will be taken to the gate to sign out

At 4:45 bring all remaining children with all their things back into the Yellow Zone Hall

If weather is bad bring all children into Yellow Zone Hall with all their things at 4:00pm and they will be collected from there
